Find funding partners at the Commonwealth Finance and Investment Forum for ICTs: 2012
London, 9th October 2012: An investor breakfast to kick off the Commonwealth Finance and Investment Forum for ICTs 2012 on November 16th will feature eight selected presentations for companies to canvass investment from the assembled investment banks, venture capital firms and other funding agencies. Each selected company will have a five-minute slot to introduce his or her enterprise and to seek financing for a project. This unique opportunity is open to companies involved in any aspect of ICTs in emerging markets of the Commonwealth. Interested companies are invited to submit, in no more than 500 words:
- A description of the company
- A description of the business
- How the proposed project will accelerate ICT development
- The scale of investment sought
Details of funding agencies attending the Investor Breakfast will be provided to the selected companies to help prepare the presentation, which will be pre-approved by the CTO. They will also be able to attend the two-day Commonwealth Finance and Investment Forum, in addition to the Investor Breakfast, where they will have an opportunity to network with the other delegates including policy makers and regulators, investment promotion agencies, private sector and funding partners attending the event.
The Commonwealth Finance and Investment Forum for ICTs, 2012 is a continuation of an initiative the CTO launched in 2008, to promote ICT innovation and propagation in the Commonwealth by facilitating partnerships between governments, entrepreneurs and financiers. This year’s event will be preceded by a workshop to examine various aspects of financing and related issues such as the role of Universal Services and Access Funds, micro finance, multi-stakeholder partnerships and risk assessments.
Due to be held at the America Square Conference Centre in London on 15th and 16th November 2012, the workshop and forum co-hosted by the CTO and BroadGroup, offers delegates the opportunity to learn the latest developments in financing mechanisms, identify investment needs across the Commonwealth and to link up with potential partners.
