A new report by consulting firm BroadGroup details how Chongqing in south west China has devised a plan over the past three years, to implement a cloud datacenter strategy that could present China with a radically different business model and one in which foreign investors could take part for the first time.
BroadGroup, the organizers of the Datacentres Europe congress and exhibition has launched the 10th annual event which will take place in Monaco 27-29 May 2014 (www.datacentreseurope.com)
The 2014 event – Energizing the Cloudcentre - begins with a new programme addition, the Enterprise Cloud Forum on 27May which includes James Walker, President of the Cloud Ethernet Forum, speaking in the ‘Challenges Today’ session.
In the first edition of BroadGroup’s Data Centres Central & Eastern Europe report which includes detailed analysis of four CEE markets - Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania – overall m2 space is forecast to increase by an average of 70% by 2017.
Given the relative immaturity of the data centre market in this region and the hegemony of players, the report’s primary comparisons are of the relative merits of the market on a country basis.
